Schoolboy

Schoolboy is a concept album telling in a non-linear way my own years as a bullied boy. From early years until the age of 15-16, I was severely bullied for being different. Emotional scars of bullying never completely disappear.

With this album I revisited this period of my life, in an attempt of empowering and facing a demon that still haunts me.

Release: September 15, 2022
Composition, vocals, recording and production: My Name is Claude

You Cannot Enter The Disco

Written, recorded and produced in summer of 2017, You Cannot Enter The Disco is an electronic dance album with a synth pop music feel. Following My Name is Claude’s signature existential approach to both life and music, the work is more complex than its form initially suggests. The album tells a non-linear story of a form of “enlightenment.” It opens with “Down the Road,” a song about a place where a so-called “lower” part of society goes to sadly dance together, and closes with “Give Me the Eyes,” about deep understanding of what lies beneath the real concept of being.

“You Cannot Enter The Disco is an album about the feeling of “not fitting” in the world. It is also an invitation to not try to fit but instead to turn towards a community of people that are like you."
– Claude Ferland Milewski

Dream Boat Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

“Dream Boat was a dream project. As a musician, to enter the deep and touching universe of director Tristan Ferland Milewski was to enter a world of consummate inspiration. Through this album I have unified everything I have ever done; piano, orchestra, electronic and techno are present here. All I know and all I love could be explored and utilised in the making of this soundtrack, forming a bridge between my past work to the two new works that immediately follow: You Cannot Enter The Disco, and Can’t Cheat. The tracks are presented in chronological order as they occur in the film, allowing us to “see” the movie in our heads as we listen.”

"…a mélange of classical, baroque music and melancholic pop, which pulls one in a spell, in a vortex of dark desire." SEEANCE MAGAZIN

Science of Doubt is 14 track album by My Name Is Claude. This is the first physical release of Science of Doubt. 1000 copies have been made for this limited edition. The cd sleeve is printed on paper and stitched together, using low environmental impact products and techniques.

Science of Doubt is a non stop music flowing one song into the other, a journey into romanticism, existentialism and poetry. For this release My Name is Claude worked arrangements including piano, classic double bass, harp and analogue synths. Orchestral moments meet cold electronics and silence.

Original cover art designed by Sofia Madafi, styling by Mads Dinesen and photograph by Mali Lazell.

One week on a cruise ship, with parties, fun and new friendships. The all-gay clientele on board are preoccupied with topics such as identity, the body beautiful and the search for sex.

Every evening is dedicated to a new theme, challenging the passengers to ever more extravagant, body-hugging outfits. In the cabins however, the talk is more than skin deep as the men open up about their private lives.

Marek, a young Polish man just wants to be accepted and loved as a human being and not just because of his taut body. Dipankar from India has just recently come out; he and Palestinian Ramzi are revelling in the kind of freedom they can only dream about in their homophobic societies back home. Martin is HIV positive and ponders hedonistic ways, while Philippe from France observes the proceedings on board serenely from his wheelchair.

In his feature film debut director Tristan Ferland Milewski succeeds in providing a look behind the scenes of an ostensibly superficial world. His humorous approach helps him create a genuine bond with the protagonists who talk openly about gay desires, free love and good old-fashioned monogamy.

"With 'Science of Doubt' I tried to decompose rhythm and work on my music outside of any form of ''beat regulation''. With my latest songs, I re-integrate music pulsation and make research on beat. I try to use percussions in the most atemporal way possible an avoid ''electronic and techno'' clichés - even though I love these genres on a personal level!"
